TGIF! Hope you all had a great week. It was frigid in my part of the world, but I am proud that I did not let that stop me from getting to the gym at 5AM (Although my hubby did have to drag me from under the warm covers a couple of times 🙂 ). But we had to get the work in. I fit in a few Hot Yoga classes too. I am very motivated to get my core more defined than ever.
There are a variety of exercises to target your ab muscles. However, you should work your lower back as well to strengthen your core. Supermans are an excellent exercise for the upper/lower back and core muscles. It can tone your glutes as well. No equipment needed.
Get to Work:
- Lie flat on your stomach with your arms extended in front of you, legs extended. Your face and palms should be facing the floor
- Raise your arms and legs off the floor simultaneously and hold this position for 2-5 seconds
- Return to you starting position to complete one rep
